ABOUT MIKE
Mike Shuter is the expert on soil health in no-till, strip-till, and cover crop farming. He’s a corn, soybean, beef cattle, and hog producer from east-central Indiana and has been no-tilling for 30 years and strip-tilling for 10 years.

Mike received his bachelor’s degree in Ag Economics from Purdue in 1973. He has been using no-till farming, global positioning technology, and many other innovative tools and technologies to help the efficiency of his crop production for decades.

COMMUNITY WORK
Mike was named the Outstanding Conservation Farmer for Madison County in 1995 and continues to serve the community with his expertise by developing innovative ways to make farming more sustainable and more environmentally friendly.
He’s served on the National Corn Growers board, the Indiana Corn Growers board, the Eastern Indiana Livestock Breeders Association board, the Indiana Red Poll Association board, and the Beef Ventures Group, LLC board.
He’s also had roles within the Frankton United Methodist Church and the Frankton Lions Club.
